The last few months

I know I have been very negligent with updating the blog and keeping everyone informed of what we Johnson's of the North are up too...but, in my defense, we have been busy!

I figured the easiest way to show what we've been up to was to post all of our fun pictures...

Oskar Raymond Johnson
July 5, 2010
9lbs, 15oz and 21 inches long
We love our baby brother..."He's so adowable!"

In other news Lily began first grade

And now, this is where I will end for the night.  I will try to be more diligent about taking pictures of the kids and keeping the updates coming!   Oskar has begun to sleep a little longer at night,  so as I continue to get more sleep, I'll be able to accomplish more!  I will also post some pictures of our new home and the changes we have made so far!

Introductions

For you formed my inward parts;
you knitted me together in my
mother's womb,
I praise you, for I am fearfully and
wonderfully made.
Wonderful are your works;
my soul knows it very well.
My frame was not hidden from you,
when I was being made in secret,
intricately woven in the depths of the
earth.
 Your eyes saw my unformed substance;
in your book were written, every one of
them;
the days that were formed for me,
when as yet there were none of them.
Psalm 139:13-16

Catching Up

Contrary to belief held in the South, we Johnson girls have not
spent the last 4 months dressed as these....

That would be Super Girl and a Cow Princess

We have also dressed up as princesses and former flower girls and then made some sweetrolls.
We kept our beautiful outfits on to enjoy a Saturday afternoon movie with popcorn.
We then lost our first tooth!

And decorated our tree
Then we discovered the joy of snow boarding!
And, lastly we found out that these two sisters

are going to be getting a new baby brother or sister this July 4th!

Hence the blog update stoppage that took place for my first trimester
and lasted a little into the second one.

We go tomorrow for our 20 week ultrasound, so I'll hopefully
have some pictures to show you of the new baby...
but, we aren't finding out if we're having a boy or girl...

you'll just have to wait until after the fire work show!

BOO!

Another fun Halloween night was had by all!

Anxiously awaiting the first trick or treat expedition.

We're very serious about our poses...we like to get into character!

Keeping the neighborhood safe.
with our backup.
With neighborhood friends.

Still a very serious Super Girl, with a Cow Princess as our side-kick
.

Greg calls this her "Vogue magazine pose".

And, as all good Midwestern Halloweens end up, the girls in their winter coats ready for more candy!

Hannah Grace's new favorite phrase..."Trick or Treat"

At some point in the afternoon, Lily received a pair of pink vampire teeth which the girls kept sharing with each other, hence Hannah Grace's pink mouth in the picture above.

Hope your Halloween was as much fun as ours!

p.s. Lily got a lot of little Almond Joy candy bars.
She doesn't like Almond Joy candy bars...but, guess who does!

Right up the nose.

The girls received their flu mists (do you still call them shots if there are no needles?) today.
Lily was relieved not to have a shot, just two little mists up the nose.
Hannah Grace sat still for the first mist, then turned her head
during the second mist...
Mama's sweater got a nice inoculation against this season's flu.
Apparently there is only one mister per person, so Hannah Grace got half a dose and that's all she's going to get this season.

We did not qualify for the ever elusive H1N1 flu shot.
So, we'll be surviving on these seasonal flu mists until the summer.

In other news, I with my straight hair am wondering what to do with this...

It seems to get bigger and bigger throughout the day and there is no way a comb would pass
through these tumbles without causing a lot of tears.

We girls will be home tomorrow. Lily has a half day of school
and since she only goes for 2 hours they decided that her AM kindergarten class
does not have to attend. I have a slight sore throat and have decided that best cure for that would be a day at home!

Who is that in my bed?

My day started off with finding Super Girl in Lily's bed when I went in to wake them up. I put Lily to bed last night in her pajamas and at some point in the night the Super Girl appeared!

So, we had a little photo shoot at 7.30 in the morning!

Then little sister wanted to get into the shoot.

And, all of a sudden began giving me different poses to take pictures of...all the while saying "Picture of me, picture of me, Mama!"

I left both girls fully dressed in "regular" girl clothes, but came home from school to find that Super Girl had made another appearance at our house!

Hannah Grace has excitedly begun to explore her new little potty.

We still have some steps to learn....

But, she's excited about it!

We ended the day walking out to the front porch to this lovely display.

It's too bad white pumpkins don't come with a warning sign letting us know that squirrels may find them irresistibly delicious.
When Hannah Grace came outside to see the pumpkin she said, "Oh, man!" This has become her new favorite phrase whenever things don't go right.

And, so we ended our Tuesday.
