As the three of you who read this blog
and don't live with us
or live in the town to the east of us
already know,
we had a tornado last week.
But, what you southerners may not know
is that the kids, Roger and I actually experienced
3 major storms in 3 different states
all in the same day!
It started with a major rainstorm at Stormy Lake
and stayed with us as we drove
to pick up Lily at Covenant Point
Our next big storm hit us as we entered Milwaukee later that afternoon.
And then of course ended with a tornado
touching down a third of a mile from our house later that night.
There were of course many tree branches to pick up the next morning, but this was all the damage we had from the tornado. Greg has already patched the roof himself. We were certainly blessed and protected that night as the kids and I tried to make our way home from Church right after the storm and had to turn around on so many streets that were impassable, but finally made it home. I tried to get a picture of the piles of branches left over from the storm that cover the side of our road, but it just sort of looks like we have big bushes all down the road! But, in real life it's an amazing amount of downed trees and branches.
p.s. I was going to offer bonus points to those who could name the three states we were in, but then realized that all readers of this blog would probably already know! The only person who would deserve the bonus points would be Lauren, because if you can name the three states, you clearly did well in your Geography class!
